We recognize our obligation
to keep the information you provide to us secure and
confidential. In fact, we consider it one of our most
important responsibilities.
We collect and maintain
information about you from sources such as your application
and account transactions, which include your name, address,
account number, etc. We may also collect information about
you from consumer credit and claim reporting agencies,
including your credit history, loan balance, driving and
claims history, etc. Our employees access information about
you only when needed to maintain your accounts or otherwise
meet your insurance needs. We educate our employees about
the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy
through our operating procedures, training and our company
ethics policy.
We do not share information
about our customers with other agencies, with the exception
of legitimate business purposes, and as required by law. We
may occasionally share information with a third party who is
performing a service for you and us but we do not sell our
customer lists to any third party.
Information may also be
exchanged with credit bureaus and similar claim data
organizations or provided when legally required or permitted
in connection with fraud investigation or in connection with
an acquisition or sale. If we receive a subpoena or similar
legal process demanding release of any information about
you, we will comply unless we are prohibited by law to do
so. Except as required by law or as described above, we do
not share information with outside parties.
